Yoichi Arima is the owner and head chef of Yuzu Sushi and Grill, a Japanese restaurant located in San Mateo. Originally from Japan, he moved to the California to study fine arts. He never thought much of becoming a chef until he began to work at a Japanese restaurant in Daly City in order to stay in the United States. He has now been working at Yuzu for over twelve years. He believes that the success of his restaurant is not measured by the amount of money made, but by the connections he formed with his customers.
