Suzanne Ramirez works in the Community Service Department at the Palo Alto Art Center. Her first job after graduating from San Jose State University, with a degree in molecular biology, was at the J. Lohr Winery in San Jose where she worked part-time as a chemist and part-time in the tasting room. Suzanne is a generous, empathetic, and creative woman who enjoys baking, traveling with family, and meeting new people

Different mediums and styles of art attract different people and the wide spectrum of art at the Art Center reflects the diversity of the people which the center attracts. Suzanne believes that “the Art Center belongs to everyone, regardless of status, income, etc.” No matter what type of art you find appealing, whether it be print ads or sculpture, it is important for there to be a space in which different people can enjoy art and experience new styles.
